If you're looking for a classic Rhode Island bite, Olnyville's New Y. system offers a Wienerle of the - or - kind. This long-standing restaurant is part of the Chow Fun Food Group, which also includes the Chow, Fun and Food Group. The place even has a take-out window and has earned a reputation as one of Providence's best restaurants in recent years. Bebe, a farm-to-table Italian Redoubt that opened in 1980, has been a staple in Providence for more than 30 years and a favorite of locals and tourists alike.

Luigisgourmet.com offers a wide selection of items, including zeppelins and fish and chips, and is open on Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. It has been open for over 30 years in the same location on South Main Street in Providence's East End and will also be open on Saturday and Sunday at 11: 30 a.m., noon to 4 p.m. and Monday and Tuesday from 10: 00 a.m. to 9: 45 p.m. with a take-out window.

Tallulah's Taqueria has made a significant contribution to improving the food scene in Providence in recent years with its new location on South Main Street in the East End. With its own taco option, Tallulah's has some of the best tacos in Rhode Island and is popular with the others who are there, as well as a host of other local and regional dishes.

If you love fresh oysters, you should visit the Matunuck Oyster Bar, where all the oysters in the restaurant are harvested. Providence has become an unlikely destination for foodies, and this gem is located on the west side of Providence. It is a great place for a hearty meal with a good selection of seafood and a variety of other dishes. Most vegan restaurants in Providence are located in the College Hill and Fox Point neighborhoods, but a few are located in Downtown and Federal Hill.

The renowned Koch Walters Cooking School is offered in South Providence and Cranston, Rhode Island. The chef has been training chefs since 1973 and teaches at one of the state's lesser-known academic institutions, Providence College.
