I used to be a regular customer of PP Spa, but no longer. Two days before my wedding I had a horrible experience when I brought my bridesmaids there for a scheduled appointment. We were running a few minutes late and I called explaining the situation. My priest ran over with the rehearsal. We didn't go to dinner after the rehearsal - we went straight to the spa. Anyway, they charged me full price for 1/2 the service. One girl tried to work with me in reducing the rate, but another woman flat out refused. I was told the manager would be there the next day when I had my scheduled appointment. Of course she wasn't. I called 3 different times to speak with Samarra always being brushed off with a promise of a return phone call, well I was married on 12/31 and still no call from Samarra. Between my bridesmaids, myself and my now husband we spent over $500.00 that weekend for less that $350.00 dollars worth of services. When a former massage therapist left there in March 2006, she contacted me to follow her- at the time I refused being faithful to PP Spa - No longer. I've taken my business to her because the manager doesn't even acknowledge issues or concerns. Not a business I would deal with.

Not a good hair salon.

I just moved to this area and was looking for a good spa/salon. I went to Sps at Providence Place because I heard good things about their manicures, pedicures, wraps and other treatments. However, I'm extremely disappointed with their hair care. I went for a cut and the girl they set me up with butchered my hair. She chopped two seperate layers, miscut an entire section and then didn't blend any of the layers. I was so mortified. When I called the spa they brought me in with one of their better stylists, and she did the best she could, but I was still stuck with not the most fabulous haircut. I didn't pay $40 for a weedwacker to do my hair. I'll never go there again even though Carla did a nice job hiding the flaws. They hire girls without experience and pay them low wages. Unless they change their staffing qualifications - I would not recommend this place.

Pros: Ambience, Parking, Shopping convenience

Cons: Unqualified staff, not a lot of experience

Comfort
